The UO Alliance of Graduate Students for Diversity

We are inviting you to join us in our efforts to create support for underrepresented graduate students at the University of Oregon. Those of us who felt the need to build a sense of community among all underrepresented graduate students at the University of Oregon founded the Alliance of Graduate Students for Diversity. We understand that graduate students with diverse backgrounds face unique challenges in the pursuit of higher education. Our mission is to create a support network to help these students overcome these distinctive challenges by creating a space to address professional and social development in graduate school relevant to students with diverse backgrounds. Our focus is building community, networking, and forming peer and professional mentoring relationships among fellow graduate students, faculty, and community members. We hope that you will lend us your support in our endeavors to promote diversity on campus.
